These Terms govern your use of BiteHalo, the BiteHalo website, and related services. By using BiteHalo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility and licence
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must review and accept them for you. Subject to these Terms, ShindarTech grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use BiteHalo on devices you own or control.
Apps downloaded from Apple are licensed, not sold, and are also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
2. Nutrition and health disclaimer
BiteHalo provides estimates and general informational tools. Food composition, recipes, preparation, and portion sizes vary, so calorie and nutrient estimates may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting results.
BiteHalo is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional nutrition advice. Do not rely on it for emergencies or decisions requiring professional judgment. Consult a qualified healthcare professional about medical conditions, allergies, eating disorders, pregnancy, medication, or individualized dietary needs.
3. Your content and acceptable use
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant BiteHalo a limited licence to process that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service. You represent that you have the right to submit it.
You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer it except where law expressly allows, upload unlawful or harmful content, abuse automated requests, or use BiteHalo to violate another person’s rights.
4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
BiteHalo Pro may be offered weekly, monthly, or annually. Prices, taxes, currency, and trial eligibility are displayed by Apple before purchase and may vary by storefront. The annual plan may include a seven-day introductory trial for eligible users.
Subscriptions automatically renew for the same period unless canceled. Apple bills your Apple Account and manages refunds, renewal, plan changes, and cancellation. You can manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
5. Service changes and availability
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, subject to applicable law. AI analysis, barcode information, Apple Health, and other external services may sometimes be unavailable or produce incomplete results. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device, or permanent availability of any feature.
6. Intellectual property and feedback
BiteHalo, its design, software, branding, and service content are owned by ShindarTech or its licensors and are protected by law. If you provide suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation, while we remain free not to use them.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BiteHalo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShindarTech and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or losses arising from reliance on nutrition estimates. Any aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid for BiteHalo in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
8. Suspension, termination, and disputes
You may stop using BiteHalo at any time. We may restrict or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or misuse the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain effective. Applicable consumer protections, governing law, and courts depend on where you live and where ShindarTech is established; mandatory local rights remain unaffected.
9. Changes and contact
